Schuyler’s first published Bible was an English Standard Version (ESV) modification of a Crossway typesetting. Schuyler’s second ESV is the Quentel. The current Schuyler ESV is a classic double column format with cross references in the middle and footnotes along the bottom of the page. It sports a generous 9.5 font size and 32 gsm prima Bible paper for optimal legibility. All of these Schuyler ESV’s have Goatskin bindings, edge-lined, perimeter stitching, 3 or 4 ribbon markers. The quality printing and binding produce a Bible which lies flat out of the box and is designed to last a lifetime. Our Schuyler ESV’s now come in a variety of colors – Black, Brown, Firebrick Red and Imperial Blue. All of our second generation ESV’s have 4 ribbon markers and come with and without the ‘Holy Bible’ on the cover.
Another distinctive of this edition is that it comes with an important selection of Christian Confessions of Faith – Apostles Creed-Nicene Creed-Chalcedonian Creed-Athanasian Creed-Augsburg Confession-Articles of Religion-Westminster Standards-London Baptist Confession.
In terms of an all around classic ESV reference Bible this is among the best available. All of our reviews are available on evangelicalbible.com, the company that distributes and markets the Schuyler label. Below are the specifications for this edition.

Schuyler Bibles are published in small batches of no more than 1,000 copies, and more commonly 500. This helps us to stay focused on detail and to assure that quality is never compromised. Each copy is individually hand finished. The perimeter stitching which is found on all Schuyler Bibles adds durability to the cover. Even though each Bible is a tribute to the book binder’s skill in both quality and beauty, these Bibles are designed to be used, read, studied, written in, and indeed handed down to the next generation.
